Kai is in Dana Point, CA for the Battle of the Paddle, the world's biggest stand up paddle race. After a tight finish between Kai, Danny Ching, and Connor Baxter, Kai decides to take a break from competing and heads up north to the Central Coast with the Naish team.

Here's some classic footage of Tom Carroll in the legends heat at the 2011 Quiksilver Pro. After a few minutes into the heat, Tom decided to swap his shortboard out for his Fiber Flex Stand Sure SUP (shaped by Simon Anderson who was also in the heat) and show the thousands of spectators what is possible on a stand up paddle board at Snapper Rocks. The commentary is by Nick Carroll and Peter Mel. The footage is courtesy of OneHD who did an awesome job of telecasting the whole event, live, on free to air television.
